Casa Manzanillo is nestled in the little beach town of Troncones. You can enjoy margaritas on the cliffs overlooking the ocean at an eclectic outdoor garden, complete with an open-air VW bus for a bar, eat fresh caught seafood with local families, perched just above gently breaking waves, or enjoy generous cuts of steak while listening to live American rock and roll with a Latin flair...all within walking or biking distance of the resort. The pool area is wonderful for lounging with a range of seating, sun/shade options, easy beach access AND ... great food and drink service provided by Samuel and the Casa Manzanillo staff.

I love that Sandra and the other owners/partners continue to invest in the property, recently adding their own mini-sewage treatment / digestion plant and continuing to green the property and operations. It's great to see and support that kind of sustainability leadership.

The local area is wonderfully calm and friendly. There are limited activities, but definitely enough for a week of fun, and if you're into lounging, it's perfecto.

We did a guided hike to Cuevo Majahua, which was incredibly interesting and fun. The surf break off the point in the bay was pumping. It was a short trip to check out surfing in Saladitas one day, and another day we chartered a small boat for an excursion to surf at The Ranch (and hit a bunch of boils and pulled in tuna on our way home from an incredible surf day!).

I don't really want to share this secret place, it's that good, but the new owners asked if we'd share our personal experience online because they recently renovated -- and they really deserve the kudos. I really love the food options at the B&B, which made it super easy for the family to vacation and not be in a constant search for food 🙂

The town was great and there are a ton of dining options on the bay, in Troncones and Majahua if you do want to eat out - all within 5min walk or taxi.

The rooms were spacious, very clean and comfortable.
Most of all, the staff was so sweet and caring. From making breakfast each morning to making sure the property was always clean, we really felt at home throughout our stay!

Details that stand out are the comfy beds, amazing cotton thread count, superb cleanliness and insane views. It's actually hard to leave Casa Manzanillo because you feel like you're in your own private slice of paradise. The gracious hosts Sandra and Jeano were very kind, accommodating, and are wonderful humans. I would recco this place to anyone and plan to come back myself!!!!

The pool overlooks the sand and waves. We rode horses on the beach, chartered a small boat to take us sightseeing on the water and it was all organized by the manager Samuel who was always around with a smile and super helpful. Next time I'd like to go fishing too but we ran out of days. Apparently lots of mahi mahi.
The rooms were made up each day immaculately. The town is small and quaint with lots of restaurant options. It doesn't feel touristy at all as there are no big hotel properties. I'd definitely go back to Casa Manzanillo.

The food was delicious, every meal was perfect. The staff was friendly and helpful. Samuel did an amazing job, checking in often (and always with a big smile) to make sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely be going back!!
