We had originally come down to Zihuatanejo to look at wedding venues. We looked at a few there and then came to Troncones. We enjoyed the vibe in Troncones much... read more more than Zihua. We stumbled upon Casa Manzanillo just by browsing on airbnb and decided to book 3 nights based on the amazing reviews. The reviews weren't lying. Casa Manzanillo is a slice of heaven. As soon as you walk onto the property your body goes into a state of pure relaxation and bliss. The property and rooms are very well maintained. Spend time at the pool or along the beach. Watch the amazing sunsets with the pelicans flying by throughout the day. Samuel the manager is very friendly and can make you drinks and snacks during the day while lounging at the pool. He can also help you out with whatever else you might need. The breakfast are amazing. Both of us had the chilaquiles almost every day because the were so good.

So after our 6 days in Zihua and Troncones we looked at 7 venues total to have our wedding and at the end we looked at each other and said I think we should do it at Casa Manzanillo, it just feels right. So we reached out to the amazing owner Sandra, discussed our plan, and she said would be happy to host our wedding. We are thrilled to come back in November and have our wedding on the property.

Our only regret was not spending more than 3 nights. Highly suggest a minimum of 5 nights. But even if you only have 1 night to spare just do it, you will not regret it.

Also, ignore any old bad reviews as this property has a new owner.

  Wow. Location, tranquility, relaxation and so many options for adventure. The accommodations and location were the best on the bay IMO. A perfect, secluded location for relaxation with... read more gorgeous grounds that just flow into the water.
We did a guided hike to Cuevo Majahua, which was incredibly interesting and fun. The surf break off the point in the bay was pumping. It was a short trip to check out surfing in Saladitas one day, and another day we chartered a small boat for an excursion to surf at The Ranch (and hit a bunch of boils and pulled in tuna on our way home from an incredible surf day!).

I don't really want to share this secret place, it's that good, but the new owners asked if we'd share our personal experience online because they recently renovated -- and they really deserve the kudos. I really love the food options at the B&B, which made it super easy for the family to vacation and not be in a constant search for food 🙂

The town was great and there are a ton of dining options on the bay, in Troncones and Majahua if you do want to eat out - all within 5min walk or taxi.

  Please do yourself a favor and stay here if you are planning on coming to Mexico. Great staff, food, pool, A/C rooms, cheap, rooms big enough for families or 2... read more couples. Bikes to rent, get a manicure in the swim up bar area of the pool. The manager and cook here really went above and beyond to make us feel at home.
My friends and I originally were staying at yoga retreat up the street. When we got there to the retreat they tried adding in a bunch of "fees" and charge double on the room which we had agreed on. We were devastated and had no idea what to do. Luckily Casa Manzanillo Boutique Hotel had occupancy available. We told the manager what happened and he really really went out of his way to make sure we were happy and taken care of. No hidden fees here. What you see is what you get. We did the Kayak tour and the horse riding tour. It is very safe!! Don't be afraid to venture out. This town is very friendly.
Every room here has an ocean view. There are yoga mats and cabanas available to use for free as well. You can see the lava rocks on the ocean. Super cool. I plan on coming back every year. This is the only place I will stay. It was fantastic. More

The staff is so friendly and attentive, and made us all feel at home. We rented bikes, did horseback riding, got massages in our rooms and did yoga with a fabulous teacher. Mats are provided by the hotel free of charge. The grounds were spotless and the pool area had lots of seating options. The view is spectacular and the sand is literally at your feet. It is also the perfect surfing spot for the surfing enthusiasts! We stayed for a whole week and made sure we tried everything on the menu, and everything was absolutely fantastic. I couldn't recommend this place more. We will definitely be back.

The pool overlooks the sand and waves. We rode horses on the beach, chartered a small boat to take us sightseeing on the water and it was all organized by the manager Samuel who was always around with a smile and super helpful. Next time I'd like to go fishing too but we ran out of days. Apparently lots of mahi mahi.
The rooms were made up each day immaculately. The town is small and quaint with lots of restaurant options. It doesn't feel touristy at all as there are no big hotel properties. I'd definitely go back to Casa Manzanillo.

Casa Manzanillo is nestled in the little beach town of Troncones. You can enjoy margaritas on the cliffs overlooking the ocean at an eclectic outdoor garden, complete with an open-air VW bus for a bar, eat fresh caught seafood with local families, perched just above gently breaking waves, or enjoy generous cuts of steak while listening to live American rock and roll with a Latin flair...all within walking or biking distance of the resort.   Casa Manzanillo acommidated our 16 person week long vacation. The location of the house was fantastic, walkable sandy beach with rocks gatherings that created several tides pools to relax in.... read more Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo 40 minutes away, Troncones 15 minutes away and the tiny pueblo of La Majahua 5 minutes away (½ mile). Low beach traffic, multiple use beach (good surf point at south point of beach, paddle board, tide pools). The pool was a perfect setting for all of us to gather, especially with the swim-up bar. All the rooms were spacius and facing the ocean. The dining area on the second floor which provides an exellent view of the ocean. Coffee and fresh cut fruit was always ready at 8:00 am, breakfast to order until 11:00 am. Dinners were were local comfort food. The house staff was a great crew, just enough people to keep the place clean and enough people that we are not in each others way. Samuel, the hotel manager/concierge, was a great help, a local with deep roots in the community. Samuel made sure the hotel was in good condition so we had the oppertunity to relax. Samuel kept us informed of excursions and local events (the younger adults were able to release turtles into the ocean at a nearby restaurant, snorkling, rough hike to nearby caves). People who were walking the beach would usually enjoy the hotel setting and appeal. I'd like to thank the crew for all that was done make the family feel welcomed and relaxed.

  We visited Casa Manzanillo for Spring Break and were in awe from the moment we stepped onto the property. The location on Troncones Bay is ideal, with gorgeous sunset views.... read more We enjoyed the pool, beach and surf, which were right outside our door. We also found a wonderful yoga studio, Yoga Del Pacifico, only a 5 minute walk down the beach, where we attended classes every morning during our stay.
In the afternoon, while my teenager surfed, the staff set me up with a fabulous massage onsite - perfect combo! 🙂
There are a variety of great restaurants just a bike ride into town, but our favorite was staying and eating at the resort. The staff are super friendly and the food is delicious. Once we got there we didn't want to leave - it felt like a home away from home. Great for couples, families or even a reunion.
We were traveling from the US, and arriving and departing across the border were incredibly smooth and easy.
This is a perfect tropical getaway.
