Friends of Southern California in the USA., Volaris takes you to Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo directly from Tijuana

Do you live in Southern California in the United States and are you thinking of visiting Troncones? This Volaris flight may be the easiest way to do it.

Volaris Airline launched last August, 2018; a flight from Tijuana that connects the whole area of southern California in the United States and Baja California Norte in Mexico with the paradisiacal beaches of the “Costa Grande” of Guerrero State. The landing point is the Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo International Airport (ZIH). These are excellent news due to in less than 6 hours you can enjoy the beaches, gastronomy and attractions of our destination.

According to Volaris portal data, flights from Tijuana depart at 3:04 am with arrival in Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo around 8:27 am, while direct flights from Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo to Tijuana are scheduled at 8:57 in the morning, arriving in Tijuana at 10:33 am.

Extra tip: Use the (CBX) Cross Border Express to make your trip easier

Cross Border Xpress (CBX) is an exclusive pedestrian bridge for passengers from the Tijuana International Airport that allows crossing the border between Mexico and the United States.

The bridge measures 120 meters in length and connects the Tijuana International Airport with a terminal in San Diego. It is the first building in history to connect a building in E.U.A. Directly with a foreign airport terminal. CBX provides a service for millions of passengers who cross the border as part of their trip, helping them avoid unforeseen threats at the border crossings of San Ysidro and Otay Mesa.

From the Tijuana International Airport, CBX users can fly directly to more than 30 destinations in Mexico and China.

Crossing Mexico:

You can only use the bridge within 24 hours prior to your flight departure.

  • Passport, identification (INE), birth certificate, consular registration or Mexican nationality certificate.

Foreign:

  • Passport
  • FMM (Multiple Migratory Form)
  • Payment of migratory rights (only if your stay is longer than 7 days)

Crossing the United States:

Accounts with two hours from the arrival of your flight to cross by CBX. Make sure you do not leave the baggage claim area and head towards the CBX entrance.
