Directions

Casa Manzanillo is located on Manzanillo Bay near the town of Troncones, in the state of Guerrero, Mexico. It is about an hour from Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo.

There are a variety of transportation services in and out of Zihuatanejo, including airplanes, buses, taxis and cars. Many major rental car companies have offices on or off-site at the Zihuatanejo airport, including Hertz, Budget, and National. Taxis are also available. Total drive time from the airport to Casa Manzanillo is about 50 minutes. Don’t worry, there is only one road, you can’t get lost.

It is simple to get a taxi at the airport. Ground Transportation Desk outside of Customs will assist you in getting to Troncones. They will take your payment and provide you with a ticket that you can take out the door to the Taxi Stand.

Taxis are in good shape and most have A/C. All taxi drivers know how to get to Troncones and many know Casa Manzanillo (not to be confused with the Inn at Manzanillo Bay). We recommend that you print and take the directions with you just in case.  

Directions: From the Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo Airport (ZIH)

• Take Mexican Highway 200 North towards Lazaro Cardenas.
• Once outside of Zihuatanejo and Ixtapa, proceed for about 35 minutes to the turn-off for Troncones (on the left/West side of the road).
• Once in the town of Troncones, with the ocean in front of you, the road forces you to choose left or right. Turn right and head North.
• You will go over a concrete bridge and continue for about 10 minutes.
• Pass the Inn at Manzanillo Bay, Eden, and Tronco Bay Inn before you arrive at Casa Manzanillo, your home away from home.
